Current Tournament Arsenal

Looking to compete in tournaments or tackle tougher sport patterns? Here’s our ranking of the best all-around arsenal for challenging conditions.

How did we select these balls for our tournament bag?

If you are looking for a full guide on building an arsenal, check out our 6 Ball Arsenal Building Guide.

Our tournament arsenal is built around a few key principles. For a six-ball arsenal, we focus on covering as many motion shapes, core types, and coverstock combinations as possible. The goal is to create maximum versatility so you can adjust to any lane condition or pattern you encounter.

The six balls listed above offer a wide range of shapes that match up well on tournament conditions, and we encourage you to consider adding some or all of them to your bag.

One of the biggest issues we see with bowlers’ tournament bags is overlap. When multiple balls share similar cores or motion profiles, it creates gaps in the arsenal and limits your ability to transition properly as the lanes change. A well-structured six-ball setup should give you clearly different looks from top to bottom.

We also recommend carrying a urethane or urethane-type option. These balls can provide valuable control on shorter or flatter patterns. If you are competing in PBA or other regulated events, always double-check that your urethane choice meets current hardness requirements or any event specific rules.
